  I'm going to do something I rarely do here. I'm going to get personal. As many of you know, my mother passed away at the end of last April. Being the responsible person she was, she had been saving most of her life. She trusted a local business to help her set up IRAs, to keep her life's savings safe. She went to Costin, Hammel & Leake, L.L.C. here in Momence. After she passed, my sister, Michelle and I went to speak with Bob Hammel, of Costin, Hammel & Leake, L.L.C., to inform him of mom's passing and, to finalize her financial affairs with the companies she had IRAs with. Bob appeared to be very concerned and, asked we give him a couple weeks to gather all of the information needed to settle things for mom. He never spoke to either one of us again. Both Michelle and I tried repeatedly to call him. Michelle went and waited at his office to speak to him. He never came out of his office. We asked our lawyer, John Denton, to call. He never returned our lawyer's calls. Our lawyer even went to Bob's office and, waited for him. Bob never came out to speak to him. Eventually, we were able to piece things together and, take care of our business ourselves, without his help. Bob made thousands of dollars from our mother and, when it came time to earn it, he disappeared. If you have any money invested by him, in your name, I strongly suggest you move it elsewhere, quickly. You wouldn't want your loved ones to go through what my sister and I have gone through. I wouldn't even let him prepare your taxes. Bob Hammel of Costin, Hammel & Leake, L.L.C. will not help your family after you're gone. He is not trust worthy.
